Amy Nash-Meunier Heart Studio. There are many mediums in which I enjoy, but my two absolute favorites are ceramics and painting.      I attended Alfred University, where I majored in ceramic arts and minored in painting and art history.  My ceramic work involves a combination of throwing and hand-building techniques, and my most recent work involves the sgraffito technique.  I have worked with a variety of different clays, including low "re earthenware, stoneware, and high "re porcelain.  I have a passion for detail, design, and composition as well as pattern, texture, and contrast.  I am inspired by nature that surrounds me in this beautiful place I call home, Southern Maryland. I reside in Lusby with my husband and three beautiful children (19, 17, 12).  I moved from Long Island, New York, to southern Maryland for a teaching job at   Leonardtown   Middle   School and, call me crazy… I have been there, teachin...

The sun wasn’t the only thing radiating on a beautiful Saturday morning at the Coastal Art Market. There was also the warmth of local vend...
